Rocking across Europe - Business Air Centre style
A 40 date European tour was completed throughout the months of June, July and August. The high profile band crossed Europe many times over in a 14 seat executive jet. A complex itinerary was put in place to ensure the band were safely and securely transferred from city to city with late night flights being the order of the day to whisk the party to the next concert.
February 2008 - From Start to Finnish
Nowhere is too remote for Business Air Centre and a short internal flight in Finland is within reach. From Tampere to Joensuu for a large US corporation was completed in style thanks to a Citation V Ultra.
January 2008 - Transatlantic Trip
A late night call from the LA based office of one of the leading Hollywood stars led to a short notice scramble for a Zurich to LA flight. A non-stop option was essential and a European based Gulfstream V departed 8 hours after the call - a rapid response!
November & December 2007 - A Musical Tour
Promoting a new album for one of the worlds biggest pop stars was a tour arranged in November and December. Coordinating Flights between 12 cities including London, Paris, Madrid and Milan with a strict schedule was a great challenge for the Flight Services Team. The global record label behind the star were thrilled with the seamless travel we were able to provide. Here’s to a fantastic 2008!
Rugby World Cup - France - September/October 2007
The exciting Rugby World Cup in France saw hoards of fans descending on various French cities during the tournament. Business Air Centre was delighted to arrange flights to every game that one of the home nations was involved in, ranging from a 6 seat light jet to an airliner carrying 150 lucky competition winners. Logistically a large tournament like this can prove a testing situation and although not everyone got the results they were looking for in the matches they attended, the travel arranged by Business Air Centre was a winner for everyone involved!
August 2007 - A Weekend in France
Arranging a birthday trip to La Rochelle was one of the happy events in August. Departing Staverton, Cheltenham, a local business man treated his family and friends to two nights in the popular French resort. A Cessna Citation II whisked the group away while they enjoyed champagne and canapés on the way
July 2007 - Escaping the flood
During the recent wide spread flooding in the Gloucestershire area, we arranged a short notice flight for some local residents to escape the wet weather to the sunnier climbs of the South of France – a Citation XLS is able to utilise the restricted runway at Staverton and whisked the family away from the flooded roads and tap water shortage to their second home on the outskirts of Nice. Having witnessed the severity of the weather first hand, they were certainly in the better place.
June 2007 - Traversing North America
A three day trip through North America was procured and arranged in June. Taking in Boston, San Francisco, Seattle and Toronto a Challenger 300 transported the 7 visiting European businessmen across the length and breadth of the continent in superior Bombardier style.
Call our 24/7 Flight Services Department to enquire about your next trip and let Business Air Centre take care of you.
May 2007 - A Peach of a trip
A long running client of Business Air Centre had the pleasure of flying from the delightfully named Peachtree Airport in Atlanta during May. Business Air Centre arranged a Bombardier LearJet 60 to fly directly into Raleigh Durham to meet up for a family celebration.
April 2007 - A weekend in Venice
A family holiday inspired one of our bookings during April. One of our regular customers decided to take his family to Italy to celebrate the occasion and we arranged a 12 seat Dassault Falcon 2000 to jet the party from RAF Northolt directly to Tessara Airport in Venice. Outstanding in-flight food and wine was the order of the day with the Flight Attendant taking care of the passengers every need. Hopefully a birthday to remember.
March 2007 - Jet Flying in the Gulf
To prove the global reach that is available to the customers of Business Air Centre, March saw clients visit 5 cities in the Middle East during a two day business trip. On a Cessna Citation XLS, they visited Bahrain, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Kuwait attending meetings in all locations before connecting to a scheduled service back to Europe.
Wherever you are flying in Europe, the US or anywhere across the globe, Business Air Centre is structured to fulfill your needs.
February 2007 - African Adventure
Following a late night call to our Flight Services Team from a regular client of Business Air Centre, there was an urgent request for a flight from London to Mozambique. Less than 10 hours later the client was on board a Challenger 604 which departed London Luton and flew to Luxor, Egypt before continuing on to Maputo, Mozambique.
All in a days work for Business Air Centre – the final destination in private air travel.
January 2007 - Weekend in Paris
The ultra modern Raytheon Premier 1 aircraft was a huge success for one of our clients in January. Looking for a spacious light jet for a short flight to Paris for the weekend, the Premier 1 is an ideal choice with its large cabin and high cruise speed and it took the four guests at high speed in real comfort.
Departing from RAF Northolt and landing in Paris Le Bourget, the passengers were in their hotel three hours after leaving their west London home and so optimised their time in Paris.

December 2006 - Helicopter transfers, Spanish style
Moving 8 people from a Spanish airport to a private residence was one of the helicopter projects delivered during December. Although only relatively short flights, these transfers were treated with the same close attention to detail and trip management that is implemented for all Business Air Centre missions. An Agusta Bell 222 was the order of the day, performing a double rotation while the passengers relaxed in the comfort of the Cessna Citation X we had supplied for their winter break in the sun.
Large global flights or short local transfers, Business Air Centre will deliver.
November
2006 - LA Grammy Awards
A Bombardier
Global Express was the order of the
day at the beginning of November. Following
the Latin American Grammy Awards
in New York, Business Air Centre organised a
late nightflight for 14 members of a high profile
band and their entourage for a non-stop flight
to Santiago, Chile in order
to make their next performance. Airside
access was arranged at both airports to ensure
a rapid and more importantly, private transfer
to and from the aircraft
October
2006 - Moroccan Filming
Transporting
the cast and crew from a major motion picture
was one of the projects delivered during October.
With the entire crew needing to get back from
Morocco once the filming was
finished, we provided a Boeing 737
and Boeing 757 on two consecutive
days to ensure everyone arrived back into London
to continue shooting.
US
Ryder Cup Team choose Business Air Centre
Business
Air Centre were delighted to be again appointed
to arrange the travel for the US Ryder
Cup Team when they left Dublin following
the high profile tournament at the K Club in
Co Kildare, Ireland during late September.
Weeks of planning went into the
transfers with on site meetings being held with
all the relevant authorities to ensure that
every angle was covered and we were delighted
that everything proceeded as planned.
The players, along with their
wives and caddies, were whisked by police escort
onto the tarmac at Dublin International Airport
where a Corporate Airbus was
ready and waiting. All the passengers
were able to relax in the ultimate comfort provided
by an aircraft catering for only 30 people instead
of the 130 that is usually seen on jet of this
type. In addition, Business Air
Centre representatives were at the
airport to make sure the transfers went according
to plan.
Business Air Centre takes enormous
pride in our continuing supply to the US
PGA and Ryder Cup Team. And the
comments from the US?
“We look forward
to working with Business Air Centre again at
the Valhalla Golf Club when the next tournament
comes around in Louisville in 2008. See
you there!”
September
2006 - Business Travel
Commuting
to Paris from London for a day full of meetings
can be costly and in-flexible using the train
or scheduled airlines. On Friday, September
1st, we supplied an 8 seat Bombardier
LearJet 45 which flew in and out of
London City for a per passenger cost of less
than 500 GBP.
The group checked
in 20 mins before take off, discussed
confidential business while in the air and even
managed to bring forward their return flight
by 60mins after their meeting concluded early.
This offered real benefits in cost and time
over all the other travel options.
August
2006
Our Flight
Services Department received an emergency call
from the office of a global telecoms company
who were looking to move their CEO and senior
board members from Hong Kong to Cape
Town to facilitate the completion of
an acquisition that had been several months
in the planning - and they were running out
of time.
Business Air Centre sourced and
provided a state of the art Bombardier
Global Express to transfer the passengers
in absolute luxury, allowing them to continue
their business discussions in the privacy of
their own aircraft and then stretch out and
get some well earned rest ahead of their crucial
meeting.
FIFA
World Cup, Germany - Summer 2006
We organised in excess of 30 flights to the 2006 World Cup, flying fans and sponsors alike.
One of the
keen football fans among our customers requested
to travel to multiple matches during the tournament. Following the group
stages, we ensured that he attended every game
from the quarter finals up to and including
the final.
For the quarter-finals this was
facilitated by a Bombardier LearJet
45 from London to Berlin for the first
game followed by a helicopter transfer
to Hamburg for the second match and finally
the LearJet 45 back to London in the evening
– the was all repeated the following day
between Gelsenkirchen and Frankfurt. No
doubt an enjoyable but tiring experience!
